Professional Experience

Brin Gibson is an attorney in the Firm’s Gaming and Regulatory Law Department. His projects have included work on the creation of a gaming control system for the country of Vietnam and review of the gaming regulatory structure of another overseas jurisdiction. Brin has also been appointed Associate Adjunct Professor and teaches  water law with the Southern Nevada Water Authority CEO and General Counsel  at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is assistant editor of the forthcoming Nevada Gaming Licensing Guidebook, edited by fellow Lionel Sawyer & Collins attorneys Robert Faiss and Mark Clayton.


Brin's projects have included environmental permitting and due diligence for one of the world's largest manufacturers of clean energy technology, and water rights work in Southern Nevada.  In 2011, he was appointed by Governor Brian Sandoval to serve as a member of Nevada's Colorado River Commission, which is responsible for acquiring, managing and protecting Nevada's water and hydroelectric power resources deriving from the Colorado River.  The Commission works with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and the other six Colorado River Basin states to effectively manage one of the country's most important natural resources. 

Prior to joining the firm, Brin was an extern for Federal District Judge Kent J. Dawson. He also worked as a public policy consultant for a Nevada gubernatorial campaign and for a prominent Nevada real estate development company. He was Special Assistant to The Honorable Oscar B. Goodman, Mayor of the City of Las Vegas, from 2002-2003.   Brin is a sixth-generation Nevadan.
