Professional Experience

Dan McGuire practices primarily in the areas of taxation and estate and business planning, particularly the selection of business entity types, negotiation of partnership agreements, and the formation and operation of limited liability companies. Mr. McGuire has authored several articles regarding the advantages of limited liability companies, the valuation of stock options, the estate tax, and the taxation of gamblers, traders, and investors.

Prior to his entering the field of law, Mr. McGuire was a civilian aeronautical engineer with the U.S. Air Force from 1976-1986, developing flight simulators for fighter pilot training in Arizona. After graduating from law school, Mr. McGuire was a litigation associate in the New York firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, 1989-1993.
